The Anaheim Ducks
on Wednesday activated center Ryan Getzlaf
from injured reserve and assigned forward Aaron Voros
to the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL.
Getzlaf, the Ducks' captain and first-line center, hasn't played since Dec. 28, when he suffered nasal sinus fractures when he was hit in the face by a puck in a game at Phoenix. He's eligible to play in the Ducks' game Wednesday night at Vancouver.
Voros has appeared in 12 games for Anaheim in 2010-11, going scoreless with 43 penalty minutes (PIM). He missed 21 games from Dec. 10 to Jan. 25 with a fractured orbital bone suffered on Dec. 8 at Vancouver. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound winger spent the last two seasons with the New York Rangers
before coming to Anaheim in a trade last July.
