The Ducks have acquired center Justin Kloos from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for left wing Pontus Aberg.
Kloos, 25 (11/30/93), collected 12-18=30 points in 34 games for the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League. At the time of the trade, Kloos led Iowa in scoring and co-led the team in goals. The 5-9, 175-pound center has appeared in 119 games with Iowa, recording 32-49=81 points with 72 penalty minutes (PIM). Kloos appeared in one NHL game with Minnesota, making his debut on Oct. 24 vs. the Vancouver Canucks.

Signed as a free agent to a two-year entry-level contract by Minnesota on Mar. 29, 2017, Kloos played collegiate hockey with the University of Minnesota Gophers (Big Ten). In four seasons with the Gophers, Kloos earned 63-87=150 points in 155 games from 2013-17 and served as team captain from 2015-17. Kloos earned a Big Ten Second All-Star Team selection in his junior season and a Big Ten First All-Star Team selection in his senior season. In 2012, Kloos received the Minnesota Mr. Hockey award as the most outstanding senior high school hockey player in the state of Minnesota.
Aberg, 25 (9/23/93), collected 11-8=19 points in 37 games with Anaheim this season. Selected by the Nashville Predators in the second round (37th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft, Aberg has earned 16-21=37 points in 105 career NHL games.
