Duchene and Hodgson carry Brampton to 3-2 shootout win over the Wolves

SUDBURY, Ont. - Matt Duchene and Cody Hodgson carried the load on Friday night, with both scoring in regulation and the shootout to lift the Brampton Battalion over the Sudbury Wolves 3-2 in Ontario Hockey League action.

Hodgson assisted on Duchene's second-period power-play goal before scoring with four minutes remaining in the third period to tie the game for Brampton (27-14-1-1).

Gerome Giudice scored twice to put the Wolves (19-20-1-4) up 2-0. John Kurtz assisted on both goals.

Patrick Killeen made 19 saves for the Battalion and was perfect in the shootout, while Sudbury netminder Andrew Loverock stopped 33 shots.
