Drummondville extends winning streak to 8 games with win over Victoriaville
NHL.com @NHLdotcomSamson Mahbod scored the game-winning goal as the Drummondville Voltigeurs held on for a 3-2 win over the Victoriaville Tigres in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action on Tuesday.
Drummondville (46-9-0-3) increased its winning streak to eight games, though Victoriaville kept the QMJHL's top team on its toes. The Voltigeurs were coming off back-to-back 10-goal games.
Drummondville kept its three-point division lead over Shawinigan in the Central Division. The Cataractes were a 4-2 winner over Acadie-Bathurst on Tuesday.
Shawinigan, the second-best team in the league with 92 points, is the last team to beat Drummondville.
Elsewhere, Quebec hammered Chicoutimi 8-2.
At Drummondville, Que., Yannick Riendeau and Dany Masse also scored for the Voltigeurs.
Chad Earle and Alexandre Labonte replied for the Tigres (27-30-1-2).
Antoine Tardif made 27 saves for Drummondville while Loic Boivin stopped 41 shots for Victoriaville.
Cataractes 4 Titan 2
At Bathurst, N.B., Dave Labrecque had two assists as Shawinigan came back from a 2-0 deficit to beat the Titan.
Antoine Houde-Caron, Pierre-Alexandre Vandall, Maxime Legault and Adam Bourque-Leblanc scored for the Cataractes (45-11-2-0).
Vincent Couture and Jonathan Lessard replied for Acadie-Bathurst (20-26-6-6).

At Quebec City, Kelsey Tessier had two goals and two assists as the Remparts hammered Chicoutimi.
Jean-Simon Allard and Benjamin Breault had two goals and an assist while Dmitri Kugryshev and Mathieu Loisel also scored for Quebec (43-11-0-3).
Pierre-Karl Marion and Nicolas Deschamps replied for Chicoutimi (20-27-4-7).
