Nick Bjugstad, C, Florida Panthers
DraftKings price: $4,300
Aleksander Barkov sustained an upper-body injury Monday, opening the door for Bjugstad to re-enter Florida's top-six forward group for a favorable matchup at the Buffalo Sabres. Bjugstad missed time because of injury himself earlier in the season and has been stuck in a third-line role since returning, but has seen more power-play time of late and picked up his shots on goal production in his past three games (10 SOG in span) following a three-game stretch that included multipoint games Jan. 23 and Feb. 2. Run wild with value stacking options of Bjugstad, Jaromir Jagr ($5,800) and/or Jonathan Huberdeau ($5,700) on Tuesday against the Sabres, who allow 2.6 goals per game at home this season.
Cam Atkinson, W, Columbus Blue Jackets
DraftKings price: $4,700
The game between the New York Islanders and Columbus Blue Jackets features lower-ownership options on a 12-game night in the NHL, and Atkinson is an intriguing FLEX or third wing option in DraftKings. He's on his way to another 20-goal season with 17 in 53 games, and his SOG volume is high (2.6 per game). He's averaging 3.9 DraftKings points per contest in his past 10 games, compared to 3.2 for the season, and is still priced below $5,000. His splits at Nationwide Arena are strong too, with 19 points in 23 home games. He also scored a goal against the Islanders earlier this season.
Colton Parayko, D, St. Louis Blues
DraftKings price: $4,500
With Alex Pietrangelo sidelined because of a knee injury, Parayko re-enters the spotlight and will be relied upon to supplement Kevin Shattenkirk with offense from the blue line. He's tied for 38th in DraftKings price among defensemen and has two assists, three blocks and five shots on goal in three games against the Winnipeg Jets this season. His peripheral coverage of blocks (81) and SOG (110) provides steady foundation, and his point production could spike with this heightened offensive role.
Ben Bishop, G, Tampa Bay Lightning
DraftKings price: $7,700
Bishop has a 10-1-3 career regular-season record with a .938 save percentage against the Montreal Canadiens, and the Lightning had a sluggish offensive showing Monday at the Ottawa Senators with backup Andrei Vasilevskiy in net. Expect a bounce-back outing on short rest from the Lightning on the road, where Bishop is 9-8-1 with a .923 save percentage and one shutout. Bishop's price is not cheap but is clearly in the value range, considering there are eight projected goalie starters priced ahead of him Tuesday in DraftKings, seven of whom are going for $8,000 or more.
