Dylan Larkin, C, Detroit Red Wings
DraftKings price: $5,400
This is a great price for Larkin, who is in the Calder Trophy conversation. The reason he's so inexpensive is because he has struggled lately with one goal in 10 games. He has averaged 3.1 DraftKings points per contest this season and that's including averaging 1.8 in the past 10 games, which tells you how good he was earlier in the season. Larkin has 19 goals and 42 points. He is fourth in rookie scoring and tied for second in goals. The scoring drought could be related to the fact that he hasn't been on a line with Henrik Zetterberg or Pavel Datsyuk recently but expect him to have a productive game against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Carl Hagelin, W, Pittsburgh Penguins
DraftKings Price: $4,200
Hagelin has been a different player since he was acquired from the Anaheim Ducks on Jan. 16. After four goals and 12 points in 43 games with the Ducks, he has three goals and 13 points in 21 games with the Penguins. Hagelin has an assist in three straight games and five points in his past five games. On Saturday, he was moved up to the top line to play with Sidney Crosby and Patric Hornqvist and assisted on Crosby's goal in the 4-2 loss to the Calgary Flames. Hagelin is averaging 3.0 DraftKings points in his past 10 games and there are 35 wings more expensive than him. Playing with Crosby and on the top line can only boost his production. Hagelin won't have to face one of the best goalies in the League in Cory Schneider on Sunday. Schneider is injured and the New Jersey Devils will likely turn to backup Keith Kinkaid.
Nick Leddy, D, New York Islanders
DraftKings price: $4,500
Leddy's offense was down to start the season, but he's turned it on lately. He has four goals and 30 points this season and seven points in the past 10 games. Going back even further, Leddy has at least one point in 13 of 19 games. He also has 68 blocks this season. He's a big part of the Islanders defense, but also helps to generate offense. Playing the rival New York Rangers on Sunday should also help Leddy rise to the occasion. He should be able to get the same, if not more points than many of the more expensive defensemen in this contest.
Andrew Hammond, G, Ottawa Senators
DraftKings price: $7,500
With Craig Anderson sidelined because of a knee injury, Hammond will make his third straight start Sunday. His numbers on the season may not be great (2.92 goals-against average, .907 save percentage), but perhaps playing a string of games in a row will help his confidence. Hammond made 41 saves in a 3-2 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday and looked like the guy who was 20-1-2 last season when he carried the Senators to the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Dallas Stars have struggled recently, winning two of seven games, so Hammond may be playing them at the right time.
