DraftKings picks: Henrique shooting lights out

Devils center has NHL's highest rate, nearing 30 goals

by Pete Jensen @NHLJensen / Fantasy Insider

Adam Henrique, C, New Jersey Devils
DraftKings price: $4,300

One of the best value stacks this month has been Henrique with Devante Smith-Pelly (W, $3,800), who has 11 points in 10 games since being traded to New Jersey from the Montreal Canadiens. Henrique is quietly on the cusp of 30 goals with 27 on 138 shots on goal in 72 games and seven on 22 SOG in his past 10 games. He has the highest shooting percentage in the NHL among players with at least 50 SOG this season, so continue to pay the low price for the high upside of this Devils' duo. Henrique has two goals in three games against the Washington Capitals this season.

Troy Brouwer, W, St. Louis Blues
DraftKings price: $4,000

Brouwer has points in four of his past five games with two goals, three assists, six blocks and 10 SOG in the span (4.0 DraftKings points per contest). He's playing on the second line and sees power-play time with Paul Stastny and underrated rookie Robby Fabbri. Brouwer has one goal, one assist, three blocks and two SOG in two games against the Vancouver Canucks this season. He's 19th among wings in price for this three-game slate.

Dmitry Orlov, D, Washington Capitals
DraftKings price: $3,900

Orlov has contributed offensively for the deep Capitals with 28 points in 72 games, but does not have the best peripheral coverage with 82 SOG and 54 blocks. That said, he has great numbers against the Devils this season with three assists, three blocks and six SOG in three games (3.5 DraftKings points per contest). The Devils are on the second of a back-to-back set, so expect Orlov, who has assists in two of his past three games, to chip in at even strength and return value in DFS.

Jacob Markstrom, G, Vancouver Canucks
DraftKings price: $6,900

Ryan Miller started Thursday at the Nashville Predators, so expect Markstrom to be in net for the Canucks on the second leg of their back-to-back set at the Blues. While this is a difficult matchup for Markstrom, he has against-the-grain upside and a low price with likely low ownership. He has lost three straight but has been strong in his past two outings, stopping 70 of 73 shots faced (.959 save percentage) for an average of 5.5 DraftKings points per contest.
