DraftKings NHL value picks: Feb. 15's Pete Jensen identifies affordable DFS targets

by Pete Jensen @NHLJensen / Fantasy Insider

NOTE: These picks do not include the two Monday afternoon games. Five-game DraftKings contests begin at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Jussi Jokinen, C, Florida Panthers
DraftKings price: $5,200

Jokinen has 12 points, 21 shots on goal and four blocked shots for an average of 4.1 DraftKings points per game in his past 10 games, and faces his former team, the Pittsburgh Penguins, at home Monday. He has one goal, one assist and eight SOG in two games against the Penguins this season, and has scored seven of his nine power-play points at BB&T Center. He plays on the top power-play unit with Jaromir Jagr and on the second line for the Panthers, who are among the NHL's top 10 with 2.83 goals per game at home this season. Nine centers are priced higher in Monday evening games.

Sven Andrighetto, W, Montreal Canadiens
DraftKings price: $2,700

Andrighetto quietly leads Montreal in goals per 60 minutes (1.29) this season among players with at least 20 games played entering Monday. He has been in and out of the lineup but has recently made another push for a premier role playing alongside Max Pacioretty ($7,000) and David Desharnais ($3,600) on the top line and first power-play unit, leading to a 7.5-point DraftKings outburst Friday at the Buffalo Sabres. He faces another favorable opponent Monday at the Arizona Coyotes, who allow the fourth-most DraftKings points to opposing wings this season. Andrighetto is only $200 above the DraftKings minimum price and is worth rolling out as your third wing or FLEX option on the road, where he's scored all six of his goals on 12 SOG in seven such games this season.

Michael Stone, D, Arizona Coyotes
DraftKings price: $4,200

Stone is closing in on 100 blocks for the season (98) to go along with 22 points and 112 SOG in 55 games. Eighteen of his 29 points this season have come at Gila River Arena (3.2 DraftKings points per game) compared to his much-lower road rate (2.3). Stone plays on the first power-play unit (10 power-play points) with Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Co., so he offers low-priced exposure to high-quality offensive chances. He's priced 15th among defensemen on this light Monday evening schedule.

Devan Dubnyk, G, Minnesota Wild
DraftKings price: $7,200

The Wild are completely out of sync, losing eight straight games and 13 of their past 14. Though Dubnyk is 2-9-3 in 14 games since the turn of the calendar year, he has a 2.54 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage with two goals allowed or fewer in eight of those games. He's long overdue for a win, and it could come Monday in John Torchetti's coaching debut for Minnesota at the Vancouver Canucks, who allow the third-most DraftKings points to opposing goalies. Dubnyk, if he starts, is tied for ninth in price among potential Monday evening goalies, but will have much lower ownership than his peers -- making him an against-the-grain option for large contests.
