Each day this season, NHL.com's fantasy staff will provide daily picks for DraftKings NHL contests. This list of targets includes expensive and value options at each position to help you build a winning roster.
C - Alex Wennberg, CBJ ($5,700)
The Columbus Blue Jackets center scored a goal and had four SOG in a 3-2 shootout win against the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday. He has points in three of the past five games (three goals, one assist). Wennberg has 21 points (15 assists) this season and is averaging 3.1 DraftKings points per contest. He'll face the Coyotes again on Monday; Arizona has lost three in a row and allowed 60 shots on goal against Columbus on Saturday.

C - Kyle Turris, OTT ($5,500)
The center leads the Ottawa Senators in goals (10) and is tied for third in points. He has five points in six games and is one of Ottawa's best point producers not named Erik Karlsson. Turris is averaging 3.1 DraftKings points per game and 2.0 SOG per game, but also chips in with blocks (20 in 25 games). It may not be easy if Matt Murray starts in goal for the Pittsburgh Penguins, but with the way Turris has been playing lately, his price should be higher, and it might be good to take advantage of the fact that it's not.

W - Sam Reinhart, BUF ($5,200)
The Buffalo Sabres have won two of the past three games, which has coincided with Jack Eichel's return. Eichel is centering Reinhart, which should help him get plenty of opportunities to score. Reinhart has points in four straight games (two goals, three assists). Although he only has four goals and 14 points this season after 23 goals and 42 points last season, Reinhart is a good option at a decent price against the Washington Capitals.
W - Marcus Johansson, WSH ($5,200)
The Capitals wing has nine goals and 16 points this season, good for 2.5 DraftKings points per contest. Johansson has two goals in four games and has averaged almost two SOG per game. He gets a favorable matchup against the Sabres, who rank 27th in shots allowed per game (32.2). He had a goal, and three SOG (4.5 DraftKings points) against Buffalo on Nov. 25. Johansson is less expensive than higher-tier wings but has the ability to outscore them in this matchup.

D - Seth Jones, CBJ ($4,600)
The Blue Jackets defenseman has at least 3.0 DraftKings points in each of his past three games on two assists, five SOG and eight blocks. In 17 games this season, Jones has 32 SOG and 32 blocks. He has eight points in 17 games but has been more noticeable on defense, where most of his DraftKings points have come from. However, the Blue Jackets are also scoring plenty of goals, and Jones gets power-play ice time, so he should be in line for a decent game against the Capitals.
D - Ian Cole, PIT ($3,900)
Cole has been a pleasant surprise offensively for the Penguins this season with nine points (two goals) in 25 games. Last season, he had 12 points (all assists), his highest point total in any of his six NHL seasons. Cole is on pace to shatter that, but hasn't sacrificed his defensive ability; he has 51 blocks in 25 games. With five points in his past three games, and eight multiblock games in his past 15, Cole is a very cheap option against the Senators.

G - Tuukka Rask, BOS ($7,700)
Rask has been one of the best goalies in the League this season, translating to great DFS success. The Boston Bruins goalie is 13-4-1 with a 1.60 goals-against average, .941 save percentage and three shutouts. He made 35 saves and had 9.0 DraftKings points in a 2-1 win against the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday. Rask is averaging 6.2 DraftKings points per game and although he has gone 3-3-1 in his past seven starts, the Bruins have only scored seven combined goals in those four losses. Rask is a solid option against the Florida Panthers.
G - Mike Smith, ARI ($7,100)
Smith has started eight of nine games for the Coyotes since returning from injury. He's gone 3-2-3 allowing two goals or fewer in six of them, including a 58-save performance against the Blue Jackets on Saturday. Despite the loss, that earned Smith 9.6 DraftKings points, an absurd amount for a loss. Smith has at least 6.0 DraftKings points in five of his past eight games. He's expected to face a ton of shots again and is one of the cheaper options in the four-game slate.
