Each day during the 2015-16 season, NHL.com's fantasy staff will identify one player at each position worth owning in DraftKings daily fantasy hockey contests. Based on factors including but not limited to matchups, line combinations, power-play usage, statistical coverage and recent production, we'll provide you with lower-priced options that can help you build a winning lineup.
Players accumulate points in DraftKings for each goal (3 points), assist (2), shot on goal (0.5), blocked shot (0.5) and shootout goal (0.2). Bonuses are given for shorthanded points (1) and hat tricks (1.5). Goalies accumulate points for each win (3) and save (0.2), and lose a point for each goal allowed. Goalie bonuses are given for a shutout (2) where the goalie completes the entire game with no goals allowed in regulation (and overtime, if applicable). Shootout goals will not prevent a shutout, and goalies will receive points for any goals or assists they score in a game. Penalty minutes, hits, plus-minus and PP points DO NOT count in DraftKings. DraftKings lineups must include nine players (2 C, 3 W, 2 D, 1 G, 1 FLEX) and fit within the $50,000 salary cap.

DraftKings price: $6,000
With some of the more expensive centers in action Monday, including Evgeni Malkin ($7,400) and Sidney Crosby ($7,200) of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steven Stamkos ($7,100) of the Tampa Bay Lightning, it's worth saving your budget for a value player like Krejci. The second-line center has the exact same point breakdown as teammate Patrice Bergeron to tie him for the Bruins lead in points with 28 (nine goals, 19 assists) through 28 games. Krejci has 17 points (six goals, 11 assists) in 14 home games this season and has played well against the Edmonton Oilers, Boston's opponent Monday, with seven points (one goal, six assists), four blocked shots and 20 shots on goal in nine games.
Loui Eriksson, W, Boston Bruins
DraftKings price: $5,200
Using a line-stacking strategy has the potential to pay large dividends in DraftKings, and pairing Eriksson with Krejci on Monday makes sense. Eriksson has four points (two goals, two assists) in the past five games while Krejci has three assists over that span. Just like Krejci, Eriksson has been strong at home with 16 points (nine goals, seven assists) in 14 games. The veteran forward has 18 points (four goals, 14 assists) and 62 SOG in 30 career games against Edmonton.
Victor Hedman, D, Tampa Bay Lightning
DraftKings price: $4,800
Getting a few fantasy points from a lesser-owned defenseman can make a huge difference and Hedman has been solid with an average of 3.5 DraftKings points in the past five games. While Hedman isn't a player owners should choose to roll with regularly, he has the potential to produce Monday at the Columbus Blue Jackets. Hedman has 11 points (two goals, nine assists) out of his 17 total this season in 16 road games, along with 36 SOG in that span.
Petr Mrazek, G, Detroit Red Wings
DraftKings price: $7,100
With a 4-0-2 record in his past six starts, Mrazek is a safe value choice Monday at home against the Buffalo Sabres. While Mrazek's career against Buffalo has not exactly been dominant, he is a perfect 3-0-0 in four games. DraftKings owners should have confidence in the Czech goalie based off his 5-1-3 record at home this season with one shutout and a 2.24 goals-against average in nine starts.
