Doyle records first career hat trick as Broncos beats Blades 4-1 @NHLdotcom

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Eric Doyle scored his first career hat trick to lead the Swift Current Broncos to a 4-1 win over the visiting Saskatoon Blades in WHL action Sunday.

The 18-year-old defenceman scored his first two goals on the power play and added his seventh of the season at even strength. Doyle has scored four of his seven goals this season on the power play.

Erik Felde added an empty-net goal with 19 seconds remaining on the clock.

Saskatoon replied with a 5-on-3 power-play goal from Ondrej Fiala.

Broncos goaltender Travis Yonkman earned his 11th win of the season with a 22-save effort.

Blades netminder Garrett Zemlak turned aside 32 of 35 shots while remaining without a win at 0-3-1-0.

Swift Current improved their record to 14-6-0-4, helping move the Broncos into an East Division first place tie with the Regina Pats with 32 points.

Saskatoon remains last in the East Divison at 8-15-1-0 after losing all three games this weekend.
