Dowling scores twice as Broncos beat Tigers to take 2-1 series lead @NHLdotcom

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. - Justin Dowling scored twice and Michael Stickland had a goal and three assists to lead the Swift Current Broncos to 5-2 victory over the Medicine Hat Tigers in WHL playoff action on Tuesday night.

Taylor Vause and John Negrin also scored for the Broncos, who lead the series 2-1. Tyler Ennis and Zdenek Okal scored for the Tigers, who got a 32-save performance from goaltender Ryan Holfeld.

Broncos goaltender Travis Yonkman made 26 saves, including a third-period penalty-shot save on Tigers forward Colton Grant, to earn the victory.

Game 4 of the series continues in Medicine Hat, Alta. on Wednesday.
