Dowling and Wudrick score pairs as Swift Current downs Portland 6-2 @NHLdotcom

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Justin Dowling and Geordie Wudrick both scored twice as the Swift Current Broncos skated to a 6-2 win over the Portland Winter Hawks in Western Hockey League action Saturday night.

Dowling notched his fifth and sixth goals, while Wudrick collected his first two goals of the season. Matt Tassone and import forward Jan Dalecky also scored for the Broncos (10-5-0-0), who sit second in the East Division.

Portland (2-12-0-0) replied with goals from Radim Valchar and rookie Oliver Gabriel, with his first WHL marker.

Swift Current goaltender Travis Yonkman stopped 22 shots to improve his record to 3-0.

Winter Hawks netminder Kurtis Mucha made 41 saves while dropping to 0-9 on the season.
