Drew Doughty Snap Specs Conspiracy

In a conspiracy like this, you build from the outer edges and go step by step. If you shoot too high and miss, everybody feels more secure.
There were 19,092 fans at Amalie Arena on January 27, 2018.
There were another 44 NHL All-Stars on the ice.
Add in the dozens of dozens of media members, photographers and videographers, hundreds of vendors and sercurity personnel, along with representitives from across the NHL on hand, and there were approximately 20,000 people at the Skills Competition in Tampa Bay.
...and yet not a single person knows where Drew Doughty's Snap Specs went.
It's a little too convenient.
What did Doughty see?
Or, more importantly, what did Doughty see that they don't want us to see?

Nearly all footage of Doughty at the Skills Competition has been no help is solving this riddle.
But that cannot deter from finding the truth.

"Losing those is not on me," Doughty said. "I gave them to a lady, she kept them safe, and they got stolen."
Stolen? By whom?
And why did not one single person
respond to the LA Kings post on Craigslist
?
For starters, Doughty did not appear to wear the Snap Specs when he first stepped onto the ice at the Skills Competition.
This much can be seen from the TV broadcast, along with

wore as the Pacific Division was introduced.

He did, however, appear to go back into the dressing room before the first event, the NHL's Fastest Skater Competition.

That was the last time that Doughty was seen wearing Snap Specs.
But it wasn't just that we never see him wear them again, it's what happened next.

This is not the Doughty we all know.
A clearly rattled Doughty fumbled his way through the Passing Challenge. He did say

, but 40 seconds into the showcase, he abruptly stops and looks upward.

Was this simply a moment to collect himself? Or Doughty's way of signaling that he understood what was happening to him.

The Snap Specs? Gone.
The footage? Gone.
As a sign of goodwill, NBC stepped up and gave the LA Kings social team a new pair of Snap Specs.
A wonderful gesture, but what happened to the glasses and the footage?
The American public has yet to see the Doughty Snap Specs film. Why? There are hundreds of documents that could help prove this conspiracy. Why are they being withheld or burned by the NHL? Each time my office or you the people have asked those questions, demanded crucial evidence, the answer from on high has always been "national security."
I've submitted dozens of requests to the NHL, but I know they will not offer me access to their records.
The league talks about transparency, yet questions remain unanswered with no signs of answers being handed over.
All these documents are yours. The people's property, you pay for it! But because the league considers you children who might be too disturbed or distressed to face this reality, you cannot see these documents for another 75 years.
I'm in my early thirties, so I'll have shuffled off this mortal coil by then, but I'm already telling my eight-year-old son to keep himself physically fit, so that one glorious January morning, in the year 2093, he can walk into the National Archives, and find out what the NHL and NBC knew!
They might even push it back then, hell it may become a generational affair, with questions passed down from father to son, mother to daughter, but someday, somewhere, somebody will find out the damn truth.
Then again, maybe this is just the case of a blogger looking for answers that aren't there.
Maybe the glasses simply got lost. Things get lost every day.
Maybe Doughty didn't hand them off, and just put them down on a table of things that got thrown away.
There probably is nothing, and this all got out of hand.
The glasses are gone and that's simply the end.
Then again...
