Dodero scores winner, Palazzese 28 saves as the Wolves edge the Steelheads in SO

SUDBURY, Ont. - Charlie Dodero scored the shootout winner as the Sudbury Wolves edged the visiting Mississauga Steelheads 3-2 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Jacob Harris and Mathew Campagna scored in regulation for the Wolves (25-18-11), who won for the first time in three outings.

Andrew Goldberg and Alex Cord scored for the Steelheads (24-24-5).

Franky Palazzese made 28 saves for the win as Tyson Teichmann turned away 31 shots in a losing cause.

Goldberg opened the scoring 3:03 into the first period, but Harris replied for the Wolves with a shot that beat Teichmann glove side at 10:09.

Campagna took a shot from a bad angle and beat Teichmann five-hole 26 seconds into the second period to make it 2-1, however Cord tied the game after he skated down the left wing and fired a shot over Palazzese's right pad at 13:55.

Sudbury went 0 for 2 on the power play while Mississauga failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.
