The hockey world has undoubtedly missed Mike Emrick's commentary during the NHL pause, which makes the following clip that much more heartwarming.
NBC shared a video of the beloved hockey commentator narrating a Detroit Red Wings fan changing a driver-side windshield wiper near his home in Michigan.
Paul Hoffmann, a veteran of more than 30 years at Cawood Honda in Port Huron, helped "Doc" attach a new blade to the windshield's arm. Emrick couldn't help but compare Hoffmann's service to a famous chef helping prepare a basic snack.
"Five-nine, 175 pounds; 34 years of service," Emrick says in the video. "This is like having Gordon Ramsey coming to your house and having him make you microwave popcorn."
It was music to our ears.
