Dittmer, Glennie and Bartek score as Brandon tops Prince Albert 3-1

BRANDON, Man. - The Brandon Wheat Kings broke open a close game with three goals in the third period to beat the Prince Albert Raiders 3-1 in the Western Hockey League on Friday night.

Tyler Dittmer got Brandon on the board with a power-play goal 6:13 into the third period. Then, midway through the frame, Scott Glennie and Daniel Bartek added markers 19 seconds apart for the Wheat Kings (32-19-1-2).

Max Brandl broke Wheat Kings goalie Andrew Hayes' shutout attempt, scoring for the Raiders with just 1.24 seconds left in the third period Hayes made 26 saves, while Dustin Butler stopped 24 shots for the Raiders (19-33-3-2).
