Each week, Discover will feature a different youth coach as part of its Exceptional Community Coaches series. In continued support of local hockey communities, Discover is making a $2,000 donation to each of the Learn to Play programs this season. This week, a look at Minnesota Wild representative Wes Bolin of the Little Wild Learn to Play program.

About the coach: Bolin is the head coach at Woodbury High School and is the director of youth player development for Minnesota Hockey. In that role with Minnesota Hockey since 2013, Bolin has worked with over 10,000 youth and high school hockey players conducting skill and body contact clinics and practices along with Association level clinics and practices for players and coaches in communities all around the state. He assisted with the organization of the first Little Wild Program in 2014 and has led the Woodbury site each year.
About the program: The Little Wild program is intended for first-time boys and girls hockey players ages 5-8. During the program they receive a full set of hockey equipment, four hours of ice and coaching instruction, and a complimentary ticket to a Minnesota Wild game.
Donation meaning:This donation from Discover is very meaningful because we will be able to help more kids get into hockey and enjoy the sport that we all love.
