DiPietro was scheduled to start Saturday's game against the Coyotes, but was removed from the lineup due to swelling in his right knee. DiPietro has played 14 games, this season, more than the previous two combined due to a series of leg injuries.

He is 4-6-4 with a 3.68 goals-against average and .880 save percentage.

Mottau has 3 assists and a minus-12 rating in 20 games this season, but hadn't played since Nov. 21, when he was hit in the face by a puck. He had been cleared for physical activity last week, but now will need surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right hip and miss the rest of the season.
