Dillon, Sharks still confident after Game 4 loss

San Jose defenseman Brenden Dillon will be keeping his own blog throughout the course of the Stanley Cup Final. Dillon will check in after games and on some of the off days in between games.
Here is Dillon's blog after Game 4:

SAN JOSE -- That was a tough game.
I think if you look back at the game, we deserved better. We started to show more and more glimpses of what we are and what's got us to this point. It's unfortunate, but we have to move past it now and realize we have to win a game. We have to focus on the next game and get a win in Pittsburgh in Game 5 on Thursday.
It's frustrating that we haven't gotten to our best game. It's crazy because we have been in every game, no matter if we played as well or poorly as we felt as a team. We have to take the positives, like tonight when we showed how dominant we can be and how good of a team we are in the third period. I think that is why we have confidence in this group looking forward to the next game.
Why can't we go to Pittsburgh and win? Why can't we continue to keep this thing going? We have come so far with the group. We are just going to be confident and take it one day at a time and continue to write this story.
We haven't led the whole series, and it's frustrating. We want to have quick starts. Playing with the lead as opposed to playing from behind is a huge difference. Even when we have been able to tie it up, it is usually followed by a bad break or something happening and then you are back down. For whatever reason, we haven't got on the board first and now, hopefully, we have three games to get that done.

I've been on a team that has done this before. When I was on Seattle in the Western Hockey League in juniors, we were down 3-1 to Kelowna and got it back to a Game 7 and won. It was a blast. That's what you play for. It's not the ideal situation you want to be in, but you make the best of it.
We can just look down the road to the Golden State Warriors. They were down 3-1, momentum not on their side and they go into a tough building in Oklahoma City and win, go back home and win and get things done. We just have to stick with it and remember that we are never out of this thing. That is the feeling among the group.
It becomes a little easier now because we just have to worry about Game 5. There is nothing else until we win that game. We don't have to worry about the road trip a week from now or the tough stretch we have ahead. We're not worried about that stuff, we are worried about one game. We're worried about the next game and what this team is going to bring to the table and what we have done well and what we need to continue to improve upon.
We played a good hockey game tonight, and we're going to get rewarded for it at some point. From the drop of the puck tonight, I think everyone was super focused. I know I wanted to play my best game of the series tonight.
You don't want to have any regrets. It's not going to be a long summer, but we want to continue to be successful. Only one team can say they finish with a win at the end of the year, and we want that to be us.
