The New Jersey Devils placed defenseman Bryce Salvador on injured reserve Monday and assigned goaltender Keith Kinkaid to Albany of the American Hockey League.
The Devils recalled defenseman Peter Harrold and goaltender Scott Clemmensen from Albany.
New Jersey starts a four-game road trip Tuesday against the Winnipeg Jets. Forward Adam Henrique and defenseman Jon Merrill will make the trip. Henrique has been out with an undisclosed injury and Merrill with an arm injury.
Salvador, who has a lower-body injury, and forward Ryane Clowe, who has a concussion and is also on IR, will not make the trip.
Salvador has two assists and 20 penalty minutes in 15 games this season. Kinkaid was 0-1-0 in two relief appearances with a 2.22 goals-against average and .909 save percentage.
Harrold who has played 67 games over the past three seasons with the Devils, had a goal and an assist in 13 games for Albany this season. Clemmensen had no record in two relief appearances for the Devils with a 6.49 GAA and .765 save percentage before he was sent to Albany. He was 1-2-1 with a 2.18 GAA and .920 save percentage in five appearances for Albany.
