Devils LW Patrik Elias sits out against Philadelphia Flyers @NHLdotcom

PHILADELPHIA - Patrik Elias sat out New Jersey's game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday night because of lower body soreness.

Elias, who has 30 goals and 77 points this season, was hurt in Sunday's game against Boston. He is listed as day to day. Last week he broke John MacLean's franchise record for career points.

Brendan Shanahan was back in the lineup for the Atlantic Division-leading Devils after missing the Boston game.
