New Jersey Devils goalie Martin Brodeur was a guest on NHL Live on Thursday. Brodeur discussed his recent comments that he'd be open to a trade later in the season if it would help the Devils down the road.
"It was the situation we were in at the time, not doing well as a team and me not playing as much," Brodeur said. "I said if the circumstances were right I would think about it. It's not something that I want to leave at all. I enjoy my place in history with the Devils and what New Jersey has brought to me all these years, but it was the circumstances under which the question was asked. Who knows what the future will bring me, but my job is to get us to the playoffs and that's the bottom line."
