NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - New Jersey center Jacob Josefson broke his right clavicle crashing into the end boards in the first period of the Devils' game against the San Jose Sharks on Friday night.

Josefson, the Devils' first-round draft pick in 2009, went into the boards with his shoulder and slowly skated to the bench after the play. He went immediately to the locker room.

It marked the second straight year the 20-year-old Swede sustained a major injury. He had a hand injury last season that required surgery to reattach a ligament. He had one assist this season.
