Red Wings team scope

Detroit Red Wings forward Henrik Zetterberg will look to extend his point streak to five games on Tuesday. Zetterberg has three goals and two assists in that span, including a goal in each of his past three games, and said continuity with linemates Tomas Tatar and Anthony Mantha has helped his game. "You will have ups and downs through the season," Zetterberg said. "We've played five [or] six games with our line. It's nice to get some chemistry. That helps. We haven't been able to keep line combinations together for a longer stretch and now we have been able to do that. It's nice to find chemistry with guys and hopefully it can continue." The Red Wings are without six skaters because of injury. Goaltender Petr Mrazek will start for the sixth time in seven games. He's 3-0-2 in his past five starts in place of goalie Jimmy Howard, out with a lower-body injury.

Jets team scope

Winnipeg Jets forward Mark Scheifele will miss his third straight game with a lower-body injury. Scheifele, who leads the Jets with 26 points (13 goals, 13 assists), skated Tuesday but there is no timetable for his return. Scheifele's injury is not long term and isn't one the Jets will have to monitor going forward, coach Paul Maurice said. Winnipeg is 4-1-0 in its past five games, including Central Division road victories against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday and the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday. "I think it does give us confidence, but tonight is a big game," forward Bryan Little said. "Coming off those big games, you don't want to lose momentum and you don't want to give yourself a pat on the back just yet. It's only a couple games and we just hit .500 in the standings. If anything, tonight is an even bigger game for us because it will determine if we get the ball rolling or if we are going to be fighting to get back again."
