Anton Lundell scored two goals for the Florida Panthers in a 6-2 win against the Detroit Red Wings at FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida, on Saturday.

"I'm never surprised by Anton anymore," Panthers coach Andrew Brunette said. "This is what he's been doing for us all year. I only wish he could have finished off the hat trick."
Sam Bennett scored and had an assist, and Aleksander Barkov had three assists for Florida (37-13-5), which has won two in a row following a three-game losing streak. Sergei Bobrovsky made 22 saves.
"We were getting really leaky for a while, and I thought we got a lot better (in a 4-3 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Feb. 26)," Panthers forward Sam Reinhart said. "That game didn't go our way, but now we've been really good for two in a row."

Robby Fabbri and Tyler Bertuzzi scored for Detroit (24-26-6), which lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-1 on Friday and has lost four of five. Thomas Greiss allowed five goals on 23 shots before being replaced by Alex Nedeljkovic, who made 15 saves.
"When you look at the elite teams in this league, they defend very well and they don't give you easy chances," Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill said. "We have to work extraordinarily hard to compete with those teams, and we've come up short in these last few games."
Mason Marchment gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead at 4:10 of the first period, waiting out Greiss with his backhand after getting a rebound in front.
Fabbri tied it 1-1 at 7:16, redirecting a pass from Danny DeKeyser in the slot. Anthony Duclair put Florida back in front 2-1 at 11:00 with a one-timer on the power play.
Lundell made it 3-1 at 18:01 with a power-play goal when his pass deflected off the stick of Gustav Lindstrom.
"We gave up a soft goal, and then they score two on the power play and we're down 3-1," Blashill said. "We've got to find a way to start killing penalties, because we can't dig ourselves out of 3-1 and 4-1 holes very often."

Bennett extended the lead to 4-1 at 7:54 of the second period, going from backhand to forehand after Jonathan Huberdeau stole the puck along the boards from Filip Hronek.
Lucas Carlsson made it 5-1 at 11:01 when he skated the puck from his end to the top of the left circle and scored with a wrist shot.
"He turned into 'Carly' Orr there for a second," Brunette said. "That was fun to see."
Lundell made it 6-1 at 16:13 with a shot from below the right circle that went off the left shoulder of Nedeljkovic.
"You get a little excited because you know they have such good young players (Moritz Seider and Lucas Raymond) and you have to find a way to shut them down," Lundell said. "I think we got a step ahead of them right from the beginning and did the things we are supposed to do."

Bertuzzi scored at 14:46 of the third period for the 6-2 final.
"They are a deep team that plays fast, moves the puck and creates a lot of offense," Red Wings forward Sam Gagner said. "To beat them, you have to match their pace and keep the puck in their end of the net. We didn't do that tonight, so we have to look at it as a learning experience."
NOTES: The Panthers play nine of their next 10 games on the road, starting Monday against the Buffalo Sabres. The game will be Reinhart's first back in Buffalo, where he played his first seven NHL seasons before being traded to Florida on July 24, 2021. … Seider had his eight-game point streak end (12 points; one goal, 11 assists).
