RED WINGS (2-0-0) at STARS (0-2-0)

8:30 p.m. ET; FW-SW, FS-D, NHL.TV

The Game

Goalie Ben Bishop will return to the lineup when the Dallas Stars try to end a two-game losing streak to begin the regular season.

Bishop stopped a shot with his mask from Vegas Golden Knights forward Reilly Smith on Friday and left the game after making 19 saves. He received eight stitches to fix a cut above his left eye and was the backup to Kari Lehtonen when the Stars lost 4-2 to the St. Louis Blues on Saturday.

Goalie Petr Mrazek will make his first start of the season for the Detroit Red Wings, who look to extend a two-game winning streak.

Red Wings defenseman Trevor Daley is playing in Dallas for the first time as a visitor after playing for the Stars from 2003 to 2015. The Stars have a video tribute planned for Daley, who still spends part of his offseason in North Texas.

Players to watch

Red Wings forward Martin Frk has goals in back-to-back games after scoring late in a 2-1 shootout victory against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.

Stars forward Devin Shore has power-play assists in back-to-back games and has settled into a point spot on the top man-advantage unit with defenseman John Klingberg.

They said it

"It's special. I had some good years here and met a lot of great people. No matter where you go, where you end up and see those faces, it's special. It's pretty cool." -- Daley on returning to Dallas

"I'm curious. He's going to add a real element, he's an on the edge kind of player. Very dynamic with the puck, really moves the puck and he's not afraid to make plays. So that's what this game is about, it's a young man's league I think he's going to do nothing but help us if we're patient." -- Stars coach Ken Hitchcock on what Julius Honka brings to the lineup
