Detroit, Chicago trade goals

by Dan Rosen / NHL.com
The building went silent, and then it erupted.

Drew Miller gave the Red Wings a 3-1 lead just 1:56 into the period, but Brent Seabrook's hard slap shot from the top of the right circle at 4:07 gave the Blackhawks life again. The score is 3-2 with 15 minutes left.

Valtteri Filppula got the puck in front to Miller, who got inside position on Fernando Pisani and was able to chip the puck past Corey Crawford. The Hawks goalie came out of his crease a bit too far, leaving an opening behind him for Filppula to find Miller. He chipped it in.

Only the sounds of silence were heard here after that goal, but Seabrook gave the Hawks life with a rifle of a slap shot, his second goal in as many games.
