DeSerres makes 28 saves as the Thunderbirds shutout the Silvertips @NHLdotcom

SEATTLE - Jacob DeSerres made 28 saves to record his second shutout of the season and lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 3-0 win over the Everett Silvertips in Western Hockey League action Friday night.

Lindsay Nielsen, Jim O'Brien and Prab Rai all scored for Seattle and Sena Acolotse had two assists.

DeSerres, 18, leads the WHL with a 93.0 save percentage while serving as the backup for Riku Helenius, who is playing for Finland in the World Junior Championships.

Seattle, 16-11-5-1, won for the second straight time while Everett, 18-18-0-2, lost for the secone time in a row.
