KAMLOOPS, B.C. - Jordan DePape scored twice as the Kamloops Blazers defeated the visiting Victoria Royals 7-4 on Saturday in Western Hockey League playoff action.
Chase Schaber and Dylan Willick each had a goal and an assist for the Blazers while Brady Gaudet, Tim Bozon and Cole Ully scored a goal apiece.
JC Lipon chipped in with two assists.
Austin Carroll, Taylor Crunk, Robin Soudek and Jamie Crooks each scored for the Royals while Crooks also picked up an assist for a two-point night.
Cole Cheveldave turned away 24 shots for the win as Keith Hamilton stopped 25 of 29 shots before getting pulled in the second period.
Jared Rathjen allowed three goals on 24 shots in relief.
Kamloops went 2 for 7 on the power play while Victoria failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.
The Blazers now lead the series 2-0 with Game 3 to take place this Tuesday in Victoria.
