DeMelo leads the Steelheads over the Wolves 3-2 in SO

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Dylan DeMelo scored in regulation and once more in the shootout to lead the Mississauga Steelheads to a 3-2 victory over the visiting Sudbury Wolves on Sunday afternoon in Ontario Hockey League play.

Dylan Smoskowitz scored the game's first goal and added an assist for the Steelheads (9-4-1), who have won three straight games and seven of their last eight outings, while Riley Brace picked up an assist on both of his club's regulation-time goals.

Josh Leivo and Frank Corrado scored 42 seconds apart in the second period to give the Wolves (7-8-1) a 2-1 lead.

DeMelo tied the game on a power play early in the third period.

Spencer Martin stopped 31 shots in regulation and overtime for the win as Taylor Dupuis made 20 saves in a losing cause.

Mississauga went 0-for-1 on the power play while Sudbury went 0-for-3.
