OTTAWA - Stefan Della Rovere had two goals and an assist Friday night as the Barrie Colts downed the Ottawa 67's 4-1 in the Ontario Hockey League.
Peter Stevens and Michael Sgarbossa also scored for the Colts (13-14-1-1) and Josh Brittain had two assists. Michael Hutchinson made 30 saves.
Anthony Nigro scored the only goal for the 67's (15-13-0-2), who had a two-game winning streak snapped. Adam Courchaine, who has started the past three games, stopped 24 shots.
"He would have had to have been at his miraculous best for us to get a win," 67's coach and general manager Brian Kilrea said of his netminder. "In a loss like that the goaltender takes the brunt of it but when you only score one goal it doesn't really matter how the goaltender plays."
Barrie went 3-11 on the power play while Ottawa had one power play goal in eight tries.
"We're about 15th in the league so we finally simplified things," Colts coach Marty Williamson said of his team's power play. "We keep wanting to make the plays when all we needed to do was shoot the puck. We finally did that and good things happened."
