Della Rovere, Benn and Kane each score twice in junior intrasquad game @NHL

OTTAWA - Evander Kane of the Vancouver Giants, Jamie Benn of the Kelowna Rockets and Stefan Della Rovere of the Barrie Colts each scored twice for Team Red in a 7-2 win over White in Saturday's intrasquad game at the Canadian junior hockey team's selection camp.

Oshawa General John Tavares also scored for Red for his fourth goal in two intrasquad games.

Regina Pats forward Jordan Eberle scored his second goal in as many games for White and Wisconsin defenceman Brendan Smith also got a goal.

White goaltender Chet Pickard of the Tri-City Americans stopped all 11 shots in his half of the game in relief of Spokane's Dustin Tokarski, who made 13 saves on 15 shots.

Vancouver's Tyson Sexsmith started in net for Red and stopped 13 of 17 shots before Jake Allen of the Montreal Junior turned away 10 of 13.

Cornell forward Riley Nash and Rimouski forward Patrice Cormier each collected a pair of assists for Red. Benn, Rockets defenceman Tyler Myers, Windsor defenceman Ryan Ellis, Belleville defenceman PK Subban, Spokane defenceman Jared Spurgeon and Dana Tyrell of the Prince George Cougars also had assists.

Brampton Battalion forward Cody Hodgson, Zach Boychuk of the Lethbridge Hurricanes, Matt Duchene of the Brampton Battalion and Tyler Ennis of the Medicine Hat Tigers had assists for White.

The third and final intrasquad game is scheduled for Sunday at Scotiabank Place.

Head coach Pat Quinn will name his 22-player team Monday morning. Thirty-eight players were invited to camp.

Ottawa 67's defenceman Tyler Cuma is out of contention because of a knee injury suffered in the first intrasquad game.

Esposito, who is trying out for the Canadian team for a fourth time, was put on the wing of Tavares for both the intrasquad game and the morning practice Friday.

The pair combined for Red's third goal of the night with Esposito setting up Tavares in the high slot.
