LONDON, Ont. - Michael Del Zotto scored the winner in the fourth round of the shootout as the London Knights snapped a four-game losing streak by beating the Erie Otters 4-3 on Friday night in the Ontario Hockey League.
John Tavares recorded an assist in his first game since aggravating his shoulder on February 6th against the Windsor Spitfires.
Tavares couldn't find the handle in the shootout, but Philip McRae and Nazem Kadri found the net to give Del Zotto a chance to win it. McRae scored in regulation as well for London (38-14-1-2).
Luke Gazdic scored twice and Brian Shaw added another for the Otters (28-24-2-1). Zack Torquato and Greg McKegg scored Erie's shootout goals.
Trevor Cann made 35 saves for the Knights, while Shane Owen stopped 43 shots for the Otters.
