Clayton Cumiskey and Tomas Vincour each had a goal and an assist for Edmonton (7-8-2).
Brett Breitkreuz scored twice, once on the power play, while Cam Maclise and Logan Proulx added five-on-five goals.
Brent Raedeke had three assists and Torrie Jung stopped 24 shots in net for the Oil Kings.
Brendan Rouse scored for Seattle (3-10-2). Calvin Pickard and Kyle Jahraus combined for 31 saves for the Thunderbirds, who have dropped four games in a row.
Seattle centre Jonathan Parker's saw his three-game point streak (2-2) come to an end.
Edmonton snapped a four-game losing skid with the victory.
