Defenceman Mark Pysyk has goal, two assists as Oil Kings defeat Thunderbirds 7-1 @NHLdotcom

EDMONTON - Defenceman Mark Pysyk had a goal and two assists to lift the Edmonton Oil Kings to a 7-1 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds in Western Hockey League action Wednesday.

Clayton Cumiskey and Tomas Vincour each had a goal and an assist for Edmonton (7-8-2).

Brett Breitkreuz scored twice, once on the power play, while Cam Maclise and Logan Proulx added five-on-five goals.

Brent Raedeke had three assists and Torrie Jung stopped 24 shots in net for the Oil Kings.

Brendan Rouse scored for Seattle (3-10-2). Calvin Pickard and Kyle Jahraus combined for 31 saves for the Thunderbirds, who have dropped four games in a row.

Seattle centre Jonathan Parker's saw his three-game point streak (2-2) come to an end.

Edmonton snapped a four-game losing skid with the victory.
