MEDICINE HAT, Alta. - Defencemen Pat Kozyra and Mark Isherwood each scored power-play goals from the point and the Medicine Hat Tigers held on to win 4-3 over the Red Deer Rebels on Tuesday night in Western Hockey League action.
Wacey Hamilton and Yashar Farmanara also scored for the Tigers (12-3-2). Brennan Bosch and Tyler Ennis each had a pair of assists working on the Medicine Hat power-play which scored twice goals on nine opportunities.
The Rebels (4-12-3) were two for six with the extra man. Clayton Bauer opened the scoring for Red Deer, which also got a late goal from defenceman Dallas Jackson.
Rebel goaltender Morgan Clark left the game at the 1:04 mark of the third trailing 4-1 after allowing four goals on 20 shots. James Reimer finished the game, but was on the bench for the extra attacker when Tyler Perry scored with 11.5 seconds left to pull the Rebels within one.
Thomas Vosvrda went the distance in the Medicine Hat net blocking 20 of 23 shots.
