Buffalo Sabres forward David Legwand scored a goal from a defensive-zone faceoff circle against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena on Friday.
With the Sabres shorthanded, Legwand was at the top of the right-wing circle in his own zone and cleared the puck. It traveled about 150 feet to the other end of the ice, where it bouncedpast the left-hand gloveof Blue Jackets goalie Joonas Korpisalo for an unassisted goal at 18:38.
It was Legwand's fifth goal of the season.
