Darcy Kuemper agrees to contract with Kings

Goalie, 27, played first five NHL seasons with Wild

Goalie Darcy Kuemper agreed to a one-year, $650,000 contract with the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday.

Kuemper, 27, was 8-5-3 with a 3.13 goals-against average and .902 save percentage in 18 games (17 starts) with the Minnesota Wild last season.

Selected by Minnesota in the sixth round (No. 161) of the 2009 NHL Draft, Kuemper is 41-34-14 with a 2.60 GAA, a .910 save percentage and seven shutouts in 102 games (89 starts) for the Wild. He's 3-1 with a 2.13 GAA, a .911 save percentage and one shutout in nine Stanley Cup Playoff games.
