The LA Kings have recalled defenseman Daniel Brickley from the Ontario Reign (AHL), Kings Vice President and General Manager Rob Blake announced today.
In a related move, the Kings have placed defenseman Alec Martinez on injured reserve retroactive to Dec. 8.

The 23-year-old Brickley (born March 30, 1995) is a 6-3, 203-pound native of Sandy, Utah who has played in 21 games during his first professional season with the Reign, recording five points (2-3=5) and 12 penalty minutes.
He made his NHL debut last season with the Kings, appearing in one game, posting an assist (0-1=1) and a plus-1 rating.

Brickley
signed a two-year entry-level contract
with the Kings last March. Prior to signing, he spent his junior season with Minnesota State (NCAA), where he posted 35 points (10-25=35), a plus-16 rating and 53 penalty minutes.
He posted career-highs in goals, assists and points and led the Mavericks to the WCHA Regular Season title and helped them earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament, where they lost in the Regional Semi-Final to the eventual National Champion Minnesota-Duluth.
The Kings continue their four-game road trip on Thursday against the Columbus Blue Jackets at 4 p.m.
