Dan Spence made 21 saves as Hitmen blank Thunderbirds 3-0 @NHLdotcom

CALGARY - Dan Spence made 21 saves to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 3-0 shut-out win over the Seattle Thunderbirds in Western Hockey League action Wednesday night.

Paul Postma and Bostjan Golicic scored goals 16 seconds apart in the second period, while Ryan White added his team-leading 11th of the season in the third for the Hitmen (14-8-0-1), who have won two straight games. T.J. Galiardi chipped in with a pair of assists.

Seattle netminder Jacob DeSerres did his best to keep the Thunderbirds (8-7-3-1) in the game as he stopped 38 of 41 shots he faced, including 17 in the first period alone.
