ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Jerry D'Amigo scored the winning goal shorthanded in the third period to lift the Toronto Marlies over the Rochester Americans 2-1 on Friday in the American Hockey League.
With Marlies defenceman Simon Gysbers off for a delay of game penalty, D'Amigo scored his third of the year at 17:32 to break the deadlock.
Greg Scott assisted on the goal and scored one of his own at 10:16 of the second to tie the game for Toronto (8-5-3).
Joe Finley opened the scoring for Rochester (8-6-3) six minutes into the game.
Mark Owuya stopped 26 of 27 shots for Toronto.
