Dallas Stars vs. Edmonton Oilers @NHLdotcom
Stars-Oilers Preview

GAME: Dallas Stars (21-19-8-0) at Edmonton Oilers (18-20-8-1).

TIME: Tuesday, 9 p.m. EST.

The Dallas Stars wrap up an encouraging road trip as they face the Edmonton Oilers at Skyreach Centre.

The Stars beat the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 Sunday for their fourth win in six games (4-2-0). Marty Turco turned away 25 shots, including 10 in the third period, for Dallas, which is 3-1 on its current five-game road trip.

Turco, who played despite a sore left foot, has started in the Stars' last 21 games.

"It was touch and go, I didn't know if I was going to play tonight," Turco said. "Just a bruise -- a sore one, though."

Pierre Turgeon, Bill Guerin and David Oliver scored for the Stars, who are 6-1-2 in their last nine road games. Dallas has earned at least a point in 15 of its last 19 overall.

"It's finally starting to settle into our brains, that's how we have to play," said captain Mike Modano, who played in his second game back after missing six with a groin injury. "We've really had to fight for everything we've got lately, nothing's come easy all season long."

The win moved Dallas into eighth place in the Western Conference standings, one point ahead of Los Angeles, which did not play on Monday. The Kings face the Calgary Flames on Tuesday.

The Stars placed winger Rob DiMaio on injured reserve Monday, and recalled center Antti Miettinen from the Utah Grizzlies of the American Hockey League.

The Oilers are coming off Sunday's 4-4 tie with the Columbus Blue Jackets, giving them a 3-2-1 record over their last six games.

Eric Brewer scored at 5:45 of the third period to force overtime for the Oilers, who also got goals from Mike York, Ethan Moreau and Brad Isbister. Defenseman Steve Staios matched a career high with three points.

Edmonton has not faced Dallas since the first round of last season's Western Conference playoffs. The Stars beat the Oilers in six games, advancing to the conference semifinals where they were eliminated by Anaheim.
