Dallas Stars vs. Chicago Blackhawks @NHLdotcom
Stars-Blackhawks Preview

GAME: Dallas Stars (35-23-12-0) at Chicago Blackhawks (19-36-9-6).

TIME: Sunday, 3 p.m. EST.

The Dallas Stars are looking to end a disappointing road trip on a positive note as they visit the United Center to take on the Chicago Blackhawks.

Dallas is winless in the first three games of the swing (0-2-1), including Saturday's 3-0 loss at Detroit. The Stars' offense has been anemic during the trip, scoring just two goals and going 0-for-19 with the man advantage.

"It's unacceptable," Dallas coach Dave Tippett said. "It's not what you do; it's what you don't do. And we're not doing enough to win games. You've got to pay the price to score (all the way) through your lineup."

All-Star netminder Marty Turco has allowed eight goals in the three road games. Backup goalie Ron Tugnutt figures to get the start against Chicago, as Sunday's contest is the second of back-to-back afternoon games.

Tugnutt has struggled in his career against the Blackhawks, posting a 6-10-0 with a 3.21 goals-against-average in 16 career games.

Chicago's Tuomo Ruutu hopes to continue his team's success against Tugnutt, as the rookie center is in the midst of an impressive scoring run.

Ruutu scored twice, his 16th and 17th on the year, in Chicago's 4-3 win over Washington on Friday, helping the Blackhawks snap a seven-game winless skid (0-4-2-1).

"I feel like I can do much more than I could earlier in the year," said Ruutu, who scored just four goals in his first 39 games this season. "I'm more inside of the game right now. It must come to you. If you think about it too much, it never comes to you."

Ruutu has nine goals and 11 assists in his last 14 games.
