Max Dallas Stars

The Dallas Stars helped make one young fan's dream come true.

The Stars signed 9-year-old Max Hinojosa to a two-day contract on Tuesday, working in conjunction with Make-A-Wish North Texas and the Dallas Stars Foundation.
Hinojosa sat down with Stars general manager Jim Nill to make his contract official.

After officially joining the team, Hinojosa's first order of business was meeting his new teammates.

Then he made his way to the dressing room to check out his new locker and lace up the skates for practice.

The newest Star skated at practice with the rest of the team and is taking part in team activities until his contract expires (Wednesday).
Hinojosa is battling Myelomonocytic Leukemia and cannot play hockey, his favorite sport, due to an enlarged spleen.
But nothing can stop him from spending a few days with his favorite team.

On Wednesday, Hinojosa looked dapper in his suit while walking into American Airlines Arena before the Stars game against the Chicago Blackhawks. He posed in front of his jersey in the Stars locker room.

Hinojosa then took some warmup shots and played soccer with his teammates.

He then topped off his debut by leading the Stars out onto the ice.
