Prospect Report: Peterson putting up good numbers in Swedish juniors

Stars forward prospect Jacob Peterson has put up some good numbers in Swedish junior hockey this season, and he added to those numbers this weekend.
Peterson tallied three goals, including the game-winner, and chipped in one assist as Frolunda defeated Orebro, 7-6, on Sunday. The skilled center now has 23 points (11 goals, 12 assists) in 22 games. Peterson is tied for second in the league in goals and ranks sixth in points.

Peterson, a fifth-round pick (132nd overall) in the 2017 NHL Draft, is a left-handed shot who plays center.
"He's a smart, skilled, two-way player," Stars scout Rickard Oquist said.
The 18-year-old Peterson has played two games with Frolunda's top team in the Swedish Hockey League this season but saw limited playing time. In juniors, he's centering the second line and seeing time on special teams.
"For him, it's just a matter of maturing," Oquist said. "He's better off playing junior hockey and having a leading role there than playing two minutes with the big team."
Among Peterson's 11 goals this season are three on the power play and one shorthanded.
