The Dallas Stars, in conjunction with the National Hockey League, announced today details for Texas Hockey Day at StarCenter Farmers Branch on June 21 from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The free event will officially kick off the weekend of festivities surrounding the 2018 NHL Draft™ presented by adidas, which takes place from June 22-23 at American Airlines Center.

Dallas Stars captain Jamie Benn, forward Tyler Seguin and goaltender Ben Bishop will participate in the NHL Top Prospects Clinic from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The hockey skills clinic will feature twenty local hockey players aged 8-12 from across the Metroplex who will be randomly selected to participate through a surprise notification at an upcoming spring practice. The clinic will be conducted by the Dallas Stars Xtreme Team and Dallas Stars alumni. Top prospects in the 2018 NHL Draft™ presented by adidas, including defenseman Rasmus Dahlinand forward Brady Tkachuk, will participate in the clinic. A complete list of NHL prospects attending the clinic will be available at a later date.
At 11:30 a.m., the Stars will officially award the Mike Modano Trophy, presented each season to the team's leading points-getter, to Benn. Stars President Brad Alberts andBruno Pasquinelli from Normandy Homes will officially award the Normandy Homes Three Stars of the Year Award, presented each season to the Stars player who earns the most points in Three Stars of the Game voting, to Seguin.
Other events for Texas Hockey Day include two summer-camp sessions from the Dallas Stars Xtreme Team, a sled hockey game, Try Hockey For Free clinic and public skate sessions throughout the day. Texas Hockey Day will also host six different hockey games featuring youth and adult hockey teams from across the Metroplex.
Sportsradio 1310 and 96.7 FM The Ticket will broadcast all day from inside the lobby of the Farmers Branch StarCenter location. All of the station's daily shows -- The Musers, Norm and D Invasion, BaD Radioand The Hardline -- will be live throughout Texas Hockey Day.
The Dallas Stars Street Squad will be present throughout the day with hockey inflatables and organized ball hockey. Food trucks, free popcorn and free drinks will provided along with tours of the new Dallas Stars Alumni Locker Room and the Texas Hockey History Museum, which will be celebrating their public grand opening to the community.
