Dallas Stars goalie Ben Bishop will miss at least two games because of a lower-body injury.

Bishop left after the first period of a 3-2 overtime loss against the Ottawa Senators at American Airlines Center on Monday. Stars defenseman Dan Hamhuis fell into Bishop midway through the first after getting his legs tangled in the stick of Senators forward Jean-Gabriel Pageau.

Dallas (37-23-6, 80 points) holds the first wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference and trails the Minnesota Wild by one point for third place in the Central Division.

Bishop made 12 saves before being relieved by Kari Lehtonen.

The Stars visit the Nashville Predators on Tuesday (8 p.m. ET; FS-TN, FS-SW+, NHL.TV) and host the Anaheim Ducks on Friday.

"We're probably going to need a couple of days to figure out a time frame on it, so for sure he's not going to play (Tuesday) and Friday, and then let's just see from there," Stars coach Ken Hitchcock said.

Bishop, 31, is 26-17-4 with a 2.49 goals-against average, .917 save percentage and five shutouts in 51 games this season.
