Dal Colle has two goals, assist as OHL-leading Generals blank Wolves 7-0 @NHLdotcom

OSHAWA, Ont. - Michael Dal Colle had two goals and an assist as the Oshawa Generals blanked the Sudbury Wolves 7-0 in Ontario Hockey League action Monday.

The OHL-leading Generals (43-7-4) extended their run of games with at least a point to 14 (12-0-2).

Sudbury (9-43-2) lost its third straight. The Wolves are last in the OHL by a large margin, trailing second-last Plymouth by 20 points.

Aidan Wallace also had two goals for Oshawa, while Anthony Cirelli, Kenny Huether and Joe Manchurek also scored.

Jeremy Brodeur made 17 saves for the shutout.

Samuel Tanguay stopped 39 shots for the Wolves.

Sudbury was 0-for-5 on the power play, while Oshawa was 0-for-3.

Elsewhere in the OHL, it was: Guelph 5 Windsor 4 (OT); Ottawa 2 Kingston 1; London 4 Saginaw 1; Erie 4 Mississauga 0; Belleville 6 Kitchener 2; Peterborough 3 North Bay 2; and Sault Ste. Marie 6 Sarnia 0.

Storm 5 Spitfires 4 (OT)

At Guelph, Ont., Zac Leslie's goal at 3:01 of overtime earned the Storm (31-20-4) the win.

Tyler Hill, Tyler Bertuzzi, Pius Sutter and Givani Smith also scored.

Patrick Sanvido, Lucas Venuto, Slater Doggett and Anthony Stefano replied for Windsor (22-29-3).

67's 2 Frontenacs 1

At Ottawa, Brendan Bell's goal in the third period earned the 67's (31-20-3) the victory.

Curtis Meighan also scored for the winners.

Sam Field had the lone goal for Kingston (20-24-8).

Knights 4 Spirit 1

At Saginaw, Mich., Mitchell Marner had a goal and an assist to lead London (32-20-3).

Matt Rupert, Aaron Berisha and Chris Martenet had the other goals.

Tye Felhaber had the lone goal for the Spirit (23-28-3).

Otters 4 Steelheads 0

At Mississauga, Ont., Daniel Dekoning stopped 24 shots to earn the shutout for Erie (38-12-4).

Connor McDavid led the way offensively with a goal and two assists for the Otters.

Cory Genovese, Mason Marchment and Nicholas Baptiste had the other goals while Jacob Brennan stopped 33 shots for the Steelheads (22-30-3).

Bulls 6 Rangers 2

At Belleville, Ont., Brett Welychka scored twice as the Bulls defeated Kitchener.

Jordan Subban, Matt Luff, Stephen Harper and David Tomasek also scored for Belleville (23-25-7).

Connor Bunnaman and Nick Magyar had the goals for Kitchener (26-18-9).

Petes 3 Battalion 2

At Peterborough, Ont., Josh MacDonald scored the winner as the Petes scored three unanswered goals in a win over North Bay.

Josh Coyle and Nathan Pancel also scored for the Petes (21-27-5).

Nick Moutrey and Alex Henriksson scored for North Bay (28-14-11).

Greyhounds 6 Sting 0

At Sarnia, Ont., Brandon Halverson made 30 saves to secure the win for Sault Ste. Marie (42-11-2).

Michael Bunting led the way with two goals for the Greyhounds.

Anthony DeAngelo, Keigan Goetz, Jared McCann and Justin Bailey had the others. Taylor Dupuis and Justin Fazio combined to stop 28 shots for the Sting (25-23-7).
