LOS ANGELES (AP) - Defenseman Jack Johnson, one-half of the Los Angeles Kings' top defensive pairing with Drew Doughty, has signed a $30.5 million contract extension through the 2017-18 season.

The deal was announced by general manager Dean Lombardi following Los Angeles' 6-4 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night.
