Czibere scores third-period winner as Regina downs Medicine Hat 4-2

REGINA - Mitch Czibere scored nine minutes into the third period to give the Regina Pats the lead as they went on to defeat the Medicine Hat Tigers 4-2 in Western Hockey League action Friday night.

Brett Leffler opened the scoring 65 seconds into the game, Alex Pym scored early in the second period and Jordan Weal added an empty-netter to ice the game for the Pats (12-6-1-3).

Joey Frazer and Tyler Ennis replied for Medicine Hat (8-7-2-2).

Regina netminder Linden Rowat stopped 24 shots, while Ryan Holfeld made 27 saves for the Tigers.
